Description

SS-31, also known as elamipretide, is a synthetic four amino acid peptide
that binds cardiolipin in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Laboratory
research studies it for its effect on membrane structure, electron
transport and reactive oxygen species, which places it in mitochondrial
bioenergetics work rather than general antioxidant research.
